Linux Installation
Installs both Heimdall Proxy and Central Console on a single host with a one-line bash command.

Once installed, connect to the Heimdall Central Console at
HTTP://<server_ip>:8087/and configure via the setup wizard. -
Ensure nothing is blocking port 8087 (e.g., firewall). If necessary, start manually using
/opt/heimdall/heimdallserver.sh start - If the script fails (e.g., lack of root access), refer to the Other Operating Systems section below.
Docker
Installs both Heimdall Proxy and Central Console on a single host with a one-line bash command.
$ docker build -t "heimdall:version" .$ docker run -d --name heimdall-instance -p 8087:8087 -p 3306:3306 -p 5432:5432 -p 1433:1433 heimdall:version- Request for trial license below.

Once installed, connect to the Heimdall Central Console at
HTTP://<server_ip>:8087/and configure via the setup wizard. -

Other Operating Systems
For Unix, OSX, Solaris, BSD, or environments without root access.
- Ensure Java 8+ is installed on your system.
- Request for a trial license below.
- Download the vendor neutral package.

Unzip the package into
/opt(This creates a Heimdall directory automatically). -
Start the script using
/opt/heimdall/serverstart.sh start
Note: This method will not install Heimdall as a background daemon. Please refer to your OS documentation for configuring startup services.

The Heimdall Proxy Greenplum Community Edition includes advanced connection pooling, LDAPs synchronization, and automated master failover. It is free of charge for Greenplum usage. Request a license below.
